NNPC Boss Kyari Speaks On Daughter’s Death

The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, has spoken for the first on the passing of his dear daughter, Fatima Kyari.

Fatima, 25, passed on Friday, October 11, 2024.

Kyari, whose wish was to meet the deceased in Jannah, said his beloved daughter “departed at her appointed time.”

The boss of the nation’s oil company made the comment via his X (formerly Twitter) handle today, October, 15, 2024.
His post reads…

“My daughter Fatima departed at her appointed time and looking forward to meeting her in Jannah by Allah’s grace. While the loss is great by all measures, we remain grateful to God for all his mercies. I didn’t know the depth of her connections with many people and what she meant to many. Despite her physical challenges, she is able touch hearts in very soothing ways, including me. Above all, her demise brought many people together and demonstrated that we all can care for others irrespective of our social circumstances. I profoundly thank our leaders, family members, friends, associates, colleagues, our teachers and the countless unmentioned that joined us to pray for the repose of her soul and for consoling us.”
