Osun Development Association To Host Osun Development Summit, 30th Anniversary
The Osun Development Association (ODA) a non-partisan and non-sectarian group of prominent Osun State indigenes has concluded plans to host the maiden edition of Osun Development Summit with the theme, “Developing a Sustainable Blueprint for Sub-National Development through Public-Private Sector Synergy”.
Scheduled for December 4, 2025 in the State Capital, Osogbo, the summit is expected to help bring to fore the path for progress for the State using the various developmental avenues, that is, social, economic and political and would also exploit the ways by which the State can develop using the resources available to it through its people, its resources and its capacities.
Also planned on the side-lines of the summit, is the celebration of the Osun Development Association 30th anniversary. The summit comes in tandem with the extant mandate of the Association, which is to support in a non-partisan way, the overall development of Osun State.
Speaking about the summit and planned anniversary celebrations, The ODA Chairman and President, African Fintech Network, Dr. Segun Aina noted that appropriate theme, sub-themes and speakers have been selected to adequately capture the essence of the summit. The summit is designed to have two plenary sessions with the sub-themes: “Harnessing the efforts of Community-based self-help organisations in the Osun Development Agenda” and “Developing a Holistic Academic, Vocational and Technical Competence in Osun State – Bridging the Gap”.
“The celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Osun Development Association, will be a deliberate effort to recognise the contributions of the ODA to the development of Osun State since its inception thirty (30) years ago. At 30years, it is obvious that the ODA has contributed immensely to the socio-economic and socio-political development of Osun State”, he added.
Other activities planned for celebrations include: Foundation Laying Ceremony for the proposed ODA House, Anniversary Golf Kitty and an Awards & Gala Night.
