PDP Announces Ex Senate President Saraki As Chairman Of Reconciliation Committee

Ex-Senate President Bukola Saraki has gotten a new appointment.

Societynow.ng gathered that popular politician from Kwara state has been given the task of reconciling the warring factions in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Saraki who just returned to the country after weeks of vacation has been named the chairman of the PDP’s six-member National Reconciliation Committee.

The information available to societynow.ng reveal Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Ayim, former Governors Liyel Imoke (Cross River), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe) and Ibrahim Shema (Katsina) and former House Minority Leader, Mulikat Akande as the other members of the committee.

This new task is widely seen as a major pointer to Saraki’s widening influence in the PDP which transformed into the main opposition party in Nigeria after about sixteen years rule.
