The social media report that Adijat, a daughter of late Oyo state political heavyweight, Lamidi Adedibu died of Coronavirus is not correct.

Prof Aderemi Adedibu made the disclosure in a telephone chat with tribune online.

The academician is the younger brother of the deceased.

Prof Adedibu insisted his sister breathed her last on Thursday, April 9, 2020, after battling with cancer for more than six months.

Checks showed madam Adijat who is the first daughter of the late politician passed on in a United State Of America hospital.

Tribune online reported, “the social media was rife with the news of the passage of the woman in the United States of America (USA) with the insinuation that she died after testing positive to the virus”.

But his brother has since tagged the report as untrue.

71-year-old Adijat would be buried today, Saturday, April 11, 2020, Prof Adedibu told disclosed.
