Shina Peller, the Federal House of Representatives member from Oyo state has secured the re-opening of his famous fun place Club Quilox.
The development comes barely three days after the Lagos state government shut down Quilox for environmental and noise pollution and Peller was clamped into detention for storming a police station – Maroko – with thugs to forcefully release the cars of his customers seized for blocking traffic.
About six cars which belonged to customers of Quilox were towed away by law enforcers on Monday morning for obstructing traffic while attending an event tagged 36 hours of disco, which was scheduled to end at 9.00 a.m.
The club owner was bailed out of police detention on the strength of the intervention of his colleagues in the National Assembly and other highly placed individuals.
The federal lawmaker immediately traveled out of Lagos state to celebrate Christmas with his constituents in Oyo state.
Quilox which hosted the event that gave motorists hell (including Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy Obafemi Hamzat) on the morning of Monday, December 23 remained shut down after the release of Peller from police detention later in the day.
Emerging details revealed the Lagos state government “unsealed” Quilox today -Friday, December 27 – and a party scheduled at the Victoria Island, Lagos located fun place to celebrate the “victory”.
