Tinubu Receives Govs Aiyedatiwa, Aliyu, 4 Others At The State House

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday, received and held a closed door meeting with six governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the State House, Abuja.

The governors are Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Ahmad Aliyu (Sokoto), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), Usman Ododo (Kogi), and Monday Okpebholo (Edo).

The meeting centred on pressing national issues, including improvements on national security architecture, restructuring of the polity, state police, food security and agric mechanisation, as well as the nationwide impacts of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RNI).

The meeting, which started around 4pm, lasted for about an hour.

The meeting also coincided with ongoing national political consultations and preparations ahead of key party and governance engagements.
