Why It’s Double Celebration For Folorunsho Alakija, The Richest Woman In Nigeria

Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, the richest woman in Nigeria, who recently rolled out drum for her 70th birthday is celebrating again.

The founder of Rose of Sharon Group and Vice-chairperson of Famfa Oil whose net worth, according to Forbes Magazine, stands at one billion dollars ($1bn) turned 70 on July 15, 2021.

Her latest celebration according to information has to do with an award thrown her way courtesy Benson Idahosa University.

Benson Idahosa University is located in Benin, Edo State.

It’s a Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) in Business Administration award for the beautiful wife of Modupe Alakija, a lawyer (they married in 1976) and mother of four (Folarin, Rotimi, Dele, and Ladi) at the 16th convocation ceremony of the higher institution of learning.

The event held on July 17, 2021.

And the fact that the honour came two days after her birthday is said to have brought a great joy her way.

Commenting on the development, Mrs. Alakija said, “I feel honoured and humbled at Benson Idahosa University’s recognition.
The prestigious institution recently awarded me a Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) in Business Administration at its 16th convocation ceremony.
I heartily congratulate all the recipients of post-graduate degrees and the new graduates. I pray that God continues to direct your paths In Jesus Name. Amen.”
