Wole Oke – Reps Member Who Provided Over 200 Jobs – Wins PDP Ticket Again
Popular House of Representatives member, Bosayo Oluwole Oke has again won the ticket of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Mr Oke who currently represents the people of Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency of Osun State at the green chamber of the national assembly emerged at the contest unopposed.
And if eventually win the general election in 2023, Oluwole Oke, who is reputed to have provided over 200 gainful employments to members of the constituency, would be returning as a federal lawmaker for the 5th time.
Checks by highsteet.ng revealed the employments were given out between 2015 and first quarter of 2022.
The primary election that transformed Mr. Oke the flagbearer of his party held at Ijebu Jesa – the headquarters of the federal constituency – on Sunday, May 22, 2022.
He was returned as the candidate of the opposition party after poling 57 votes.
Oke, who presently heads the House Committee on Public Accounts, was earlier in charge of the Defence and Public Procurement Committees.
