“No Member Has Access To It” – Wole Oke Sets Record Straight On N1bn Constituency Fund

Busayo Oluwole Oke, the House of Representatives member, representing the people of Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, has confirmed that every federal lawmaker got at least 1bn Naira from the federation account in 2025.

Oke made the comments in a Facebook post titled  “Re 1B NAIRA CONSTITUENCY  FUND MY STAND” where he set the record straight and provided insight on how the fund made available for national assembly members are being expended.

The fifth-term lawmaker, who confirmed his federal constituency got over N1billion for road and other social infrastructures, said no member of the national assembly has access to the fund.

“Let it be on record that no Member of the Parliament has access to this fund .The fund is managed in line with laid down procedures anchored by the provisions of Public Procurement Act 2007,” the chairman house committee on foreign affairs insisted.

Oke who pointed out that it is the season of all sorts of blackmail and mudslinging as the 2027 general elections approach maintained he’s one lawmaker who was not afraid of public scrutiny.

His words: “As we move into electioneering and campaign year towards 2027 general elections, we must brace up to all sorts of blackmail and mudslinging. I am available for public scrutiny.”
