Wealthy businessman and chairman of Bulet International Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Ismaila Isa Funtua has described as embarrassing a report by one the national daily newspapers tipping for the position of Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The 78-years-old is regarded as one of the powerful individuals around President Buhari’s government.

The news linking Mr Funtua to the plum job came to be after the demise of Chief of Staff Abba Kyari.

Mallam Abba Kyari who tested positive for dreaded Coronavirus in March died on Friday, April 17, 2020.

He was buried on Saturday at Gudu cemetery, Abuja.

Speaking on the development in a chat with Vanguard newspaper, the elder statesman said he’s not interested in the position.

”I was a minister in 1983. What position will I be interested in now? I am embarrassed that a national newspaper could display such level of ignorance by connecting me with the Chief of Staff job”, Alhaji Funtua told Vanguard Newspaper.
