How Deputy Chief Of Staff Adeyanju Binuyo Is Helping Reelection Seeking Gov Oyetola

Adeyanju Abdullah Binuyo, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State, has just picked up a new role.

His new role, according to those who are familiar state of things, centres around activation of a gathering of like minds in and out of the cabinet of governor Oyetola ahead of the coming governorship election.

The brief before Binuyo, a holder of B.Sc. and MSc. degrees from the University of Lagos, and his team, highstreet.ng gathered, is to work on modalities and also put in place arrangements that will ensure governor Oyetola return for another term of four years in spite of the crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The internal wrangling afflicting Osun state chapter of the ruling party, with allegations of threat to lives flying right left and centre, has roots in the battle of supremacy going on between former and current Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, and incumbent Governor Oyetola.

Interestingly, Governor Oyetola, who is already preparing ahead of his Party, APC primary, has a likely major opponent in Senator Ademola Adeleke of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Adeleke who became Senator after the death of his brother, equally a former senator, was the candidate of the PDP in the last gubernatorial election in the state.

“The group has been activated but only that they are going about it discreetly, ..the objective is to come up with workable ideas among other things, that will ultimately transform Mr. Oyetola into a victor at the poll, a source told highstreet.ng.

The governorship election in Osun State holds on July 16, 2022.
