Inside Fresh Talks About Billionaire Deji Adeleke & Brother, Demola’s Guber Ambition
There are fresh discussions about Ademola Adeleke’s gubernatorial ambition.
Adeleke, a former senator, was the candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2018 gubernatorial election in Osun State.
He represented Osun West Senatorial District in the red chamber of national assembly between 2015 and 2019 following the death of his brother, a former governor of Osun State, Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, who previously occupied the seat.
Highstreet.ng understands Mr Adeleke is interested in the governorship of the southwest state once again.
Another governorship election holds in the State on July 16, 2022.
And fresh talks as regards his political ambition centres around his billionaire brother, Deji Adeleke’s reported readiness to bankroll his governorship ambition again.
Deji Adeleke is said to have confided in people that matter in the affair of the opposition party in the state and beyond that, he is ready to provide the kind of financial support that will probably give backers of the incumbent governor Gboyega Oyetola and the ruling party a run for their money.
“I understand he (Deji Adeleke) had extensive discussions with those that matter in Osun State PDP and beyond and issues that have to with funding are deliberated on… And he gave them his words that providing needed funds for the election is not a problem”, a source who privy to the discussion told highstreet.ng.
This development is said to have given credence to speculation in some quarters that the opposition party’s primary election would be a mere formality for the dancing senator who just returned to the country after bagging a degree at a United State of American university.
