What Akeredolu Just Did To Those Plotting Against Deputy Gov Aiyedatiwa

The gang up against the Deputy Governor of Ondo state, Luck Aiyedatiwa has been shut down – at least for now.

Insiders disclosed that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu saw to this development.

The spin off of the move is Akeredolu’s handover to Aiyedatiwa as the Acting Governor of the state for the next 21 days SocietyNow.Ng learned.

Akeredolu officially transferred power to Aiyedatiwa on Wednesday, June 6 in a letter to the Ondo State House of Assembly.

He cited need to embark on a medical trip to take care of his health as the reason.

Insiders disclosed that the Governor gave his deputy reprieve from those out for him by calling “suspected arrow heads of the gang up to order.“

Aiyedatiwa has been the subject of dark gossips and unflattering publications that touched, even on his relationship with Akeredolu in recent time.

The deputy governor snubbed these machinations of the people labeled “power mongers” – except to correct the one that touched on his marriage.

The individuals labeled “power mongers” with strong representations in high office in Ondo state reportedly find the “great rapport” between Aiyedatiwa and Akeredolu not to their interests – especially, in the face of the beginning of the process to determine the Governor’s successor.

The election to determine the next Governor of Ondo state holds next year- 2024.

And Akeredolu as incumbent Governor is expected to play a pivotal role in who succeeds him.

“The attacks against Aiyedatiwa are obviously to cancel him as a possible contender but Akeredolu has warned all stakeholders to keep the process clean and that any attack against his deputy is an unwitting one against himself, because it draws unwanted attention and speculation to his own office” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Before the latest transfer of power to Aiyedatiwa, Akeredolu in April 2023 handed over the reigns of power to his deputy for fifteen days while he proceeded on the first leg of his annual vacation the year 2023.
